Your arrival sets off the beginning of your journey when our team receives you and moves you to the hotel accommodation. The vibrant streets of Kathmandu create an exciting entrance to the city. Once you finish check-in procedures you can either unwind at the accommodation or visit points of interest in the vicinity. Before the beginning of the Kailash Tour on Vesak Day you will participate in a welcome dinner which includes a briefing about the upcoming experience.
During the morning visit the sacred sites Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Boudhanath Stupa. Note: We will need 3 working days to get the Tibet travel visa. We will get visa on 8th May and heading to Tibet on 9th May.
The early morning breakfast supplies us with energy needed for our commute towards the Nepal-Tibet border. The vehicle moves forward through rural mountains as it crosses quaint settlements while twisting up the terrain. We finish military procedures at Rasuwa Gadhi before entering Tibet. The region transforms completely into vast plain territory along with snowy mountain peaks in the distance. Our night in Kyirong ends with eating dinner and resting.
We proceed on to journey across Tibet’s elevated terrain after eating breakfast. During this journey you will see spectacular mountain views, barren hills and flowing rivers. The journey stops for lunch before arriving in Saga during evening. The settlement serves as an important place for people who need to acclimatize.
After our breakfast, we proceed to Darchen which serves as the starting point for Mount Kailash circumambation. The anticipation rises strongly when the mountain gets near. Many pilgrims have gathered in town to conduct their Kailash Parikrama preparations. People have the opportunity to rest and complete final preparations throughout the afternoon period.

As we progress along the trail we walk through open plains which turn into a gradual mountain ascent. We walk a total of 13 kilometers on day one to reach Dirapuk Monastery while being treated by majestic views of Mount Kailash’s northern sides. Climbing at these elevations proves demanding although the journey gives a peaceful atmosphere. Guests stay at a local guesthouse following their arrival at Dirapuk for rest and basic dining during the night.
The hardest task of our trek begins after breakfast with our exploration through Dolma La Pass which stands at 5,645 meters. The steep terrain and rough walking surfaces make this day the hardest for trekkers. Climbers make prayers at the holy Dolma La followed by their descent through Gauri Kund which holds religious significance. After crossing Zuthulpuk we find a basic and comforting meal before spending the night.
We finish the trekking adventure by passing through calm valleys until we reach the destination at Darchen. After this point we make our way back to Saga through Tibet’s magnificent scenery by driving reverse course. We enter the guesthouse and have dinner before resting at night.
We return to Kyirong after breakfast during which we enjoy Tibetan scenery for our final view. A lighter breath emerges while descending into regions with lower altitudes. When we reach Kyirong we complete the check-in procedure while eating dinner and taking time to rest before continuing our journey to Nepal.
The journey ends with border crossing which leads us to return to Kathmandu. Since the journey has spiritually fulfilled us, the return experience feels different. After the journey concludes we will take you to either your hotel or drop you off at the airport depending on your following arrangements. Due to public holiday in China from May 1 to 5, All the Government offices including embassy in Kathmandu will be closed. We will apply visa only on 6th May. So we have cut one day which is Mansarovar Lake to reach the Tarboche valley to attend Vesak/Wesak on May 12th.
