Your arrival sets off the beginning of your journey when our team receives you and moves you to the hotel accommodation. The vibrant streets of Kathmandu create an exciting entrance to the city. Once you finish check-in procedures you can either unwind at the accommodation or visit points of interest in the vicinity. Before the beginning of the Kailash Tour on Vesak Day you will participate in a welcome dinner which includes a briefing about the upcoming experience.

During the morning visit the sacred sites Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Boudhanath Stupa. As we progress along the trail we walk through open plains which turn into a gradual mountain ascent. We walk a total of 13 kilometers on day one to reach Dirapuk Monastery while being treated by majestic views of Mount Kailash’s northern sides. Climbing at these elevations proves demanding although the journey gives a peaceful atmosphere. Guests stay at a local guesthouse following their arrival at Dirapuk for rest and basic dining during the night.

The hardest task of our trek begins after breakfast with our exploration through Dolma La Pass which stands at 5,645 meters. The steep terrain and rough walking surfaces make this day the hardest for trekkers. Climbers make prayers at the holy Dolma La followed by their descent through Gauri Kund which holds religious significance. After crossing Zuthulpuk we find a basic and comforting meal before spending the night.

We finish the trekking adventure by passing through calm valleys until we reach the destination at Darchen. After this point we make our way back to Saga through Tibet’s magnificent scenery by driving reverse course. We enter the guesthouse and have dinner before resting at night.

We return to Kyirong after breakfast during which we enjoy Tibetan scenery for our final view. A lighter breath emerges while descending into regions with lower altitudes. When we reach Kyirong we complete the check-in procedure while eating dinner and taking time to rest before continuing our journey to Nepal.
