Phulchoki is one of the beautiful hiking in terms of vegetation. It is a natural botanical garden 14km away from the Kathmandu valley. It is the highest hill that surrounds Kathmandu. The height and the route is tough but the dazzling view of the valley and the vegetation will reward you. One needs to experience it to know how beautiful it gets over there. The hike directs you to the Shiva temple at the top of the mount. The gradual hike uphill through the sub-tropical forest offers the massive Himalayan ranges of Annapurna and Gaurishankar far in the horizon and the magnificent view of Kathmandu valley from the hilltop.
Shivapuri is the second highest point after Phulchoki and one of the last areas of forest left, in the valley.
