Best Time for a Family Adventure in Nepal

A successful family trip to Nepal requires selecting the perfect travel season. The best seasons in Nepal are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) due to their mild weather and clear skies.

Tourists can enjoy the best viewing opportunities during these months with ideal weather to do sightseeing and hiking activities and outdoor pursuits.

The early months of spring create perfect travel conditions since sunny weather prevails without excessive heat as the hills turn into beautiful shawls of flowering rhododendrons.

People visiting Chitwan for wildlife safaris along with boat rides in Pokhara and cultural site exploration in Kathmandu should travel during optimum seasons. The trip becomes truly remarkable for children because they can enjoy both the clean air and the vibrant scenery.

During autumn family members can witness Nepal’s two major festive events known as Dashain and Tihar because this season holds the country’s biggest celebrations.

Family trips during these festivals provide children with an ideal opportunity to discover Nepalese cultural traditions while experiencing vibrant shows and tasting traditional snacks.

During wintertime (December through February) and summer/monsoon season (June to August) Nepalese families can travel to a limited extent. During winter season one can explore cities along with observing wildlife yet the temperatures in specific regions can be harsh.
